Steve received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Florida, Master of Business Administration degree from Wake Forest University, and Doctor of Business Administration degree from Columbia Southern University

Steve brings to The Carroll Companies more than 25 years of leadership experience from a broad range of Fortune 100 and large family office enterprises across multiple industries. His managerial expertise includes deploying operational efficiencies to improve profitability, working capital utilization to boost return on invested capital, and strategic mergers and acquisitions that create sustainable competitive advantages. From executing complex business strategies to advancing local community initiatives, his focus is developing high performance teams to support operational execution and customer experiences that significantly accelerate organizational goal achievement.

Steve is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in North Carolina and holds a Certified Management Accountant designation from the Institute of Certified Management Accountants. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force, has served on the Piedmont Triad Chapter board of the Institute of Management Accountants, and volunteers with United Methodist community organizations. In addition to his published academic research, Steve has taught continuing professional education courses in ethics and accounting sponsored by local professional organizations and Wake Forest University Schools of Business.
